CODS Bar

South Australia has a deep sporting heritage, as indeed does Murray Bridge itself … home to the famous ‘CODS’ rowing team.

The CODS were a knockout crew … local railway workers, musicians, a coffin-maker, veterans of war. They raced with a small, dried Murray Cod fastened to the bow of their boat. Against all the odds – lack of money, class prejudice, and World War One – they made it all the way to the Paris Olympics of 1924. You can view a short video Click Here.

A love of all sports is celebrated at Bridgeport Hotel’s CODS Bar. Catch up with friends and watch live sport on a variety of big screens, whilst enjoying a drink, meal or bet on our TAB facilities.

There is a large range of local and international tap beers, fine wines, ciders, and spirits. A tasty bar menu is also available.

TAB is available, including 2 TAB terminals and Keno facilities.
